Daryl Ong visited SM City Molino in Cavite on December 28 and performed “Ikaw Na Nga” and “Stay,” some of the signature hits that propelled his career to stardom.
The RnB crooner earned four nods in the 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards (WMA) namely Wish Male Artist of the Year, Wish Original Song of the Year by a Male Artist (“Hopeless Romantic”), Best WISHclusive Performance by a Male Artist (“Stay”), and Best Wish Cover (“Stay”).
The former The Voice Season 2 contender, together with Tim Pavino, a fellow alum from the singing contest, thrilled the mall-goers as they also took part in the activities at the 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards (WMA) Stations Area. The two casted their votes online and shared their wishes as well.
Meanwhile, the ASAP Soul Sessions regular took to social media his excitement to sing before his loyal Darylnatics.
Apart from his WMA nominations, another great news greeted Ong’s 2017 — that is his self-titled debut record earning a Gold Record award. The album features the smash revival “Ikaw Na Nga” and the Vehnee Saturno-penned “Mabuti Pa.”
Last December, he also announced that he will be remaking yet another classic, “How Did You Know,” for the upcoming teleserye top-billed by Kim Chiu and Gerald Santos.
