There is no room for doubt when we say that Beverly Caimen is one of the next young divas to conquer the OPM stage. She is this amazingly talented and beautiful young lady who effortlessly belts out high notes. She has wowed even the international audience and it’s about time we put the spotlight on her by getting to know her better.
1. Beverly was born to be a diva. She was at the tender age of 5 when she began singing and joined competitions which she proudly won. At age 7, she joined a choir group in her school. Since then, Beverly’s mother saw the incredible potential in her daughter and enrolled her in voice lessons.
2. Beverly grew up singing high-pitched ballad music. Every time she joined amateur singing contests, she would choose to sing Regine Velasquez songs as her competition piece.
3. Her hometown is in Calamba City, Laguna. Before conquering the metro to pursue her dreams of becoming a singer, she was first an ordinary lass from the province but, of course, with exceptional talent and ardent determination.
4. Beverly first rose to fame when she emerged victorious in the renowned World Championship of Performing Arts in 2013. She performed Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time” so wonderfully that she earned a standing ovation from the audience.
5. She has recently released her self-titled debut album which consists of songs about different kinds of love – happy, melancholic, sweet, and praise songs. The songs were composed of OPM maestro Vehnee Saturno, Joel Mendoza, and Lousie Lyle Robles.
6. After all these accomplishments Beverly has achieved, there are surely more things and opportunities to come her way. She is determined to pursue her singing career full-time, but currently, Beverly is still finishing her degree, Bachelor of Science in Psychology in Batangas State University.
7. Recently, a video of Beverly belting out the Aegis classic “Sayang na Sayang” became viral over the internet. For this, she has received various praises as she sang and hit the high notes of the song fluidly. Check out the video here.
At 21, Beverly has already proven she’s worth a spot in the OPM industry. And of course, in the Wish 107.5 Music Awards as she is nominated as the Wish Female Artist of the Year.
