7 Things to Know About Christian Bautista
Christian Bautista entered the entertainment industry in 2003 when he made his way as one of the finalists of the reality show “Star in a Million”. Since then, we have seen how he grew and bloomed into becoming an Asian Pop Sensation. Now that he has been in the Filipino music scene for more than a decade, we might think we are already familiarized with Christian Bautista too well. But here are some recap of the things we know about him and few of the latest happenings in his life and career.
1. Christian’s academic background is quite remarkable. He studied grade school and high school at the International Christian Academy where other Filipino actors, such as Billy Crawford, Goeff Eigenmann, and Rico Yan, also graduated from. For his tertiary education, Christian entered the University of the Philippines Diliman. He took up Bachelor of Arts in Landscape Architecture.
2. While a college student and a thriving Iskolar ng Bayan at UP, Christian also managed to be a table tennis varsity player.
3. Another remarkable thing about Christian are his countless hit songs, many of which we still can’t get out of our heads. Some of these are “The Way You Look at Me”, “Colour Everywhere”, “Completely”, “Everything You Do”, and “Invincible”. All of his songs, original or revival, have a certain touch and a heartwarming feel that only Christian Bautista can give. His songs have significant radio airplay in other Southeast Asian countries such as Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore.
4. Christian also took a career in acting. In 2005, just a couple of years after his feat in “Star in a Million”, he debuted in a soap opera as the leading man of the famous actress and television personality Anne Curtis. Ever since, he pursued this path, alongside creating more hit songs.
5. Not long after, he combined these talents of his in acting and singing, and entered the theatre. He starred in various musical plays such as West Side Story, Rama Hari, Cinderella, and Kitchen 6. In 2014, Christian was invited to be a guest performer in the special 23rd Anniversary show of MNCTV Network, considered to be Southeast Asia’s largest and most integrated media group. Among other 30 famous performers, Christian was the only Filipino performers in the event.
7. Christian easily makes our hearts melt with the way he croons his love songs. But what is really going on in his personal love life beyond the sweet words he sings? In a recent interview, Christian admitted that he is still looking for the one he will marry and spend the rest of his life with. He said that he is hopeful to find the right one without rushing anything.
