7 Things to Know About Elha Nympha
How much do we really know about the Voice Kids Philippines Season 2 grand champion Elha Nympha aside for her astounding talent in singing? This girl has a very inspiring story behind her success and we ought to know it!
1. After the death of her father, Elha made efforts to help her mother in earning for their family. Thus, she started selling banana cue in the market. She attracts customers by singing right in front of them. Elha is hard-working kid. Her talent and determination to help her family are what brought her to the top.
2. A video of Elha singing while selling banana cue went viral when it was uploaded on February 20, 2015. She was singing “Ngayon” by Basil Valdez. Praises and positive remarks came pouring in the comments section as people were not only impressed with her vocal prowess, but also with her inspiring story.
3. Elha is the eldest among four children. At her young age, she already knows her responsibilities. She has been a big help to her mother, Lucy, in taking care of her other three siblings.
4. Elha has always dreamed to be seen on television. So when she awed the judges during her blind auditions for the Voice Kids competition, her dream was already fulfilled. Who knew it was only the beginning of something so wonderful for this child wonder.
5. During the finals of the competition, Elha’s performances touched the hearts of the Filipino nation. She did a duet with Jed Madela of Regina Velasquez’s “Narito”, dedicating it to her beloved father. And then her final act was Mariah Carey’s “Emotions”, which she sang wholeheartedly, hitting the whistle notes unbelievably well. People still talk about this up to now. This video of her performance has now almost one million views on Youtube.
6. Aside from pursuing her already blooming career, Elha dreams to open her own restaurant in the future. Using the money she won in the competition, she plans to invest it in a small restaurant, with the star in the menu – her banana cue.
7. Elha, together with the other finalists of the Voice Kids Season 2, made an appearance on the Roadshow on October 20, 2015. She sang the Martin Nievera hit “Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin”, which she also performed in the Voice Kids competition.
With all these things, we are sure that Elha has got what it takes to make it big in the OPM industry. She has the heart and the determination, and most importantly, the voice to captivate the ears of everyone. Today, I went to the beach with my kids. I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear. She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is entirely off topic but I had to tell someone!
