7 Things to Know About Gwyneth Dorado
Gwyneth Dorado is only 10 years old but the whole of Asia has probably already known about her and her amazing musical prowess. She gained popularity when she joined and became a finalist in the popular reality competition, Asia’s Got Talent. Let’s take the time to get to know Gwyneth better with this list of things tackling her life and career.
1. Gwyneth started showing her interest in music when she was about two or three years old. In an interview, she shared that she was used to performing in front of her family. When she realized that her personal audience appreciated her voice, she began dreaming of pursuing a career in music and performing to a much larger audience.
2. Aside from singing, Gwyneth can also play various musical instruments. She learned how to play the keyboard when she was 5, and the guitar when she was 8.
3. Here’s a fact about Gwyneth that will make you say “Wow”. Asia’s Got Talent is the first competition Gwyneth joined. Who could have thought that she was a first-timer when she stepped foot onstage to amaze the Asia’s Got Talent judges?
4. Together with three other Filipino acts, Gwyneth was able to make it through the finals of the competition. These are “Golden Girl” Gerphil Flores, the dance group Junior New System, and the grand champion shadow act group El Gamma Penumbra.
5. Gwyneth’s favorite Asia’s Got Talent judge is none other than Mr. David Foster. She says that she has always admired him even before entering the competition. Further, she expresses her gratitude towards each of the judges for guiding and helping her all throughout the competition.
6. Gwyneth sang the Philippine National Anthem during the President Aquino’s 2015 State of the Nation Address. In an interview, she expressed how she was both proud and nervous during the event.
7. Gwyneth also performed in the Wish 107.5-sponsored concert on August 25, 2015 held at the Mall of Asia Arena, Pasay City. Her lively performance of Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” and “Chandelier” gained a lot of cheers and claps from the audience during the concert.
