7 Things to Know About Hazel Faith

For a start, Hazel Faith’s name already has a star quality ring to it; her voice proves she is indeed one. Blazing a trail in the local music industry for several years now, there is more to know about this exciting new talent.

1. Hazel Faith Capacete dela Cruz, also known as Hazel Faith, started singing at the very early age of three. As the only girl among three siblings, she spent most of her time imitating Disney princesses. Her natural singing talent blossomed when she joined the choir.

2. Hazel spent her high school education at Trinity College of Quezon City, now known as the Trinity University of Asia. She further nurtured her gift by representing her school in singing competitions.

3. In college, Hazel Faith took up Architecture at the Mapua Institute of Technology. Before finally pursuing a career in the music industry, she managed to finish her studies first and even worked as a junior architect.

4. While in college, Hazel Faith decided to join the “Glee Send Off to Hollywood Contest” by Solar Entertainment. She was a huge fan of the popular musical television series, so she proved herself worthy to be seen on the show by performing her own original song entitled “Can’t Comprehend”. Though she was not expecting it, she won and was given a walk-in part in the show.

5. Hazel Faith was given more acting opportunities in local television after her short stint in Glee. She has also starred in several independent films, and became a lead in the in the historical-musical, “Ang Kababaihan ng Malolos”.

6. Alongside all these accomplishments of Hazel Faith, she was also making a head start in her music career. She was signed as a recording artist under Curve Entertainment. Recently, she released her first single, “Plastic”. Her original song “Di Na Kita Mahal” is also part of the album “OPM Fresh”, which features music from up and coming young talents in the OPM industry.

7. Hazel Faith’s songwriting skills were also recognized when her composition “Everything Takes Time” made it to the finals of the 2014 Himig Handog P-Pop Love Songs.

During a Roadshow guesting, Hazel Faith showed us her exceptional singing talent as she performed her single “Di Na Kita Mahal” live on the Wish Bus.
