OPM sweetheart Janella Salvador took the entertainment industry by storm. She is a triple threat teen idol with her outstanding talent at acting, singing and dancing. Here are more fun facts about the charming Janella:
1. Seventeen-year old Janella Salvador is the daughter of singer-songwriter Juan Miguel Salvador and actress-singer Jenine Desiderio, who were both considered as gems in the OPM industry.
2. Janella, fondly called Jea by her closest friends, studies at St. Paul College in Pasig, an exclusive all-girls private Catholic school.
3. Undeniably, Janella has stellar talent in acting and in singing. Being cast in the hit teleserye “Please Be Careful with My Heart” catapulted her into the public eye. Since then, a lot of opportunities opened for Janella to further hone her acting skills.
4. Being a daughter of musician parents, Janella’s vocal prowess is also irrefutable. In April 2015, she released her self-titled debut album under Star Music, which includes original songs such as “Ganyan Talaga” and “Mahal Kita Pero”, as well as her own versions of OPM classics “Dear Heart” and “Kapag Tumibok ang Puso”.
5.In December 2015, Janella has made her film debut in “Haunted Mansion”, an official entry to the renowned Metro Manila Film Festival. There are more television series and movies lined up for Janella in the coming months.
6. Janella was also personally chosen by the Hong Kong Disneyland to represent the Philippines in singing the theme park’s 10th anniversary song entitled “Happily Ever After”.
