Born into a musical family, music has always been a huge part of Janice Javier’s life. Let’s try to get to know her a little better with these tidbits.
1. At an early age, Janice has already been joining competitions. Her father, Rolando Javier, 2nd Generation Hotdog keyboardist, served as his coach.
2. Following the path his has had taken, Janice became a band singer and travelled around Asia to perform. She would open for Filipino artists such as Jessica Zaragoza and Dingdong Avanzado.
3. In Bangkok, Thailand, Janice was also given the opportunity to perform with Thai artists in the biggest concert venues in the country, and was even seen on Thai television.
4. She became a household name when she joined the first season of the Voice of the Philippines in 2013. She won 2nd-runner up under the coaching of Apl d Ap.
5. In an interview, she shared that she is a fan of Whitney Houston. Locally, she adores Asia’s nightingale, Lani Misalucha.
6. Recently, Janice released her self-titled debut album under MCA Music. Her carrier single, “Never Knew Love (Until I Met You)” was especially composed for her by foreign musicians Tjeerd Zanen and Natassja den Toom.
7. On April 29, 2015, Janice graced a Roadshow performance while onboard the wish Bus. She gave her own rendition of the OPM classic “Why Can’t It Be”.
