7 Things to Know About Lunar Lights

The up-and-coming Filipino band Lunar Lights is a proof that alternative rock is very much alive in the country. The band’s music journey is just beginning but as these young musicians radiate great talent and potential beyond their age, getting to know them is surely worth it. So here is a list of some things we need to know about Lunar Lights.

1. Lunar Lights is composed of these 5 awesome individuals – Rocky Villanueva on vocals and guitar, Paul Armand Pascual on guitar, Kevin Aaron Dela Cruz on bass guitar, Mark Aquino on synthesizers, Maverick Meneses on drums.

 

2. The band comes from the city of Malolos, Bulacan. They debuted as a band in February 2012. Before finally blending their own music together, the band members have gone through different musical groups first.

 

3. Some of the musical influences of the band include The Beatles, The Killer, Coldplay, Greenday, Sandwich, Sugarfree, and Up Dharma Down.

 

4. As a band, the members of Lunar Lights have several common interests – eating Japanese cuisine, riding bicycles, and going to the gym.

 

5. Lunar Lights recently released a music video of their hit single “If I’m Wrong”.
Positive comments came pouring when the video was uploaded in May 2015 on the band’s Youtube channel.

 

6. In September 2015, the band has reached a milestone when they were signed by Warner Music Philippines. Because of this, good things are definitely happening to these guys, and we should all be on the lookout.

 

7. There are no more reasons to miss the songs of Lunar Lights as they are now available for streaming on Spotify.

There is so much to look forward to with this band. One is their nominations in the upcoming Wish 107.5 Music Awards. They are nominated as Wish Promising Artist, and Wish Alternative Song and Best WISHclusive Performance by a Group for “If I’m Wrong”. Vote for Lunar Lights here.
