Marion Aunor is a woman of many splendid talents. Though she is fairly new to the OPM industry, her songs and performances have been greatly well-received by Filipino listeners. How did she come into prominence and what are the other things we should know about her? Let’s find out through this list.
1. Marion’s last name surely rings a bell as she is the daughter of former teen star Lala Aunor and the niece of veteran actress-singer and superstar, Nora Aunor.
2. Despite her “magical surname,” she was able to rose to fame in the industry when she won third place in the songwriting competition Himig Handog P-Pop Love Song in 2013, with her original entry “If You Ever Change Your Mind”.
3.After the competition, Marion became a recording artist of Star Records, with Vehnee Saturno as her manager.
4.Shortly after these accomplishments, Marion released self-titled debut album, which includes some of her original compositions “Do Do Do” and “The First Time I Loved Forever”.
5. In the 2014 Himig Handog competition, Marion was chosen to interpret an entry, “Pumapag-ibig” written by Jungee Marcelo, alongside other artists Seed Bunye and Rizza Cabrera.
6. On a Roadshow guesting, Marion performed “If You Ever Change Your Mind”, “Pumapag-ibig”, and “Do Do Do” while onboard the Wish 107.5 bus.
7.Aside from singing and writing relatable love songs, Marion can also play various musical instruments such as guitar and piano.
