7 Things to Know About Maris Racal
She is ready to take on the entertainment industry by storm, armed with nothing but her charm and talent. But as this 18-year old young lady’s career blooms, we definitely ought to know her better!
1. Well, here are some basics – Maris’s complete name is Mariestella Cañedo Racal and she was born on September 22, 1997 in Tagum, Davao City, though her parents are both Cebuanos. Her parents are quite musical, they are popular singers in the province.
2. Maris was probably born with a guitar on her hand. When she entered the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) House in 2014, the country knew about her exceptional talent in music. Staying true to her title, the “Singing Sunshine of Davao”, she always lit up the Big Brother House every time she played and sings in front of the other housemates. Aside from the guitar, she can also play the piano, and ukulele.
3. Maris was crowned as the PBB All-In second big placer in August 2014. Following this victory was an array of opportunities for her to showcase her talent.
4. Recently, Maris released her debut single “Tanong Mo Sa Bituin”. The song is part of the album “OPM Fresh” which also features other up and coming artists. If you haven’t heard of it, you’re surely missing on something great.
5. Maris also gave acting a try. And of course, she’s good at it. She has already played a couple of supporting roles on popular television series. She is also said preparing for an upcoming film. We certainly are watching out for that!
6. In an interview, Maris mentioned that she wishes to pursue a medical degree. Despite her jam-packed schedule, she says that she has always dreamed of becoming a doctor so she will be willing to juggle her studies and her show business career.
7.Apart from singing, and acting, here are some other things that Maris is good at: dance sports, painting, and beatboxing.
