There are many things we need to know about rising OPM heartthrob Marlo Mortel. Though he was
probably known as an actor, Marlo’s flair in the field of music cannot be denied. Let’s familiarize ourselves with this 23-year old actor-singer through this list.
1. Marlo Mortel’s real name is Jhann Marlowe Galman Pamintuan.
2. He started making his own name in show business when he joined the 5th season of the popular talent search Starstruck. During this stint, he used the screen name Marlowe Pamintuan.
3. Eventually, Marlo became one of the regular teen performers at German Moreno’s “Walang Tulugan with the Master Showman”, this time using John Miguel Pamintuan as his screen name.
4. In 2012, Marlo got his breakthrough after he auditioned for The X Factor Philippines.
5. Not long after, he was cast in the popular daytime series “Be Careful with My Heart”. For his role in this series, he was well recognized and loved by Filipino viewers. His team-up with young actress-singer Janella Salvador unexpectedly became a big hit.
6. Marlo also became a part of the newest boy group, Harana, together with Joseph Marco, Bryan Santos, and Michael Pangilinan. The group was launched in March 2015.
7. In Star Music’s “OPM Fresh” album, Marlo was one of the featured up-and-coming artists, with his single “M.O.O”.
During a Roadshow guesting, Marlo exclusively performed “M.O.O. (My One and Only)” inside the Wish 107.5 Bus.
