7 Things to Know About Reynan dal-Anay
Reynan del-Anay caught the attention of everyone when he stepped foot on the Voice Kids stage and auditioned while proudly donning his Manobo tribe clothing. Finishing off the competition as the first runner-up, he did not only bring glory to himself and his family, more importantly, he made his people proud. This talented kid deserves the spotlight, let’s get to know him better through this list.
1. Eleven-year old Reynan comes from San Fernando, Bukdinon. He hails from a sub-tribe of the Manobos called Tigwahanon.
2. Reynan takes pride in his indigenous roots by consistently wearing his tribe’s outfit all throughout his The Voice Kids stint.
3. During Reynan’s blind auditions for the season 2 of the Voice Kids of the Philippines, he belted out “Tagumpay Nating Lahat”, an original song by Lea Salonga, who incidentally became Reynan’s coach in the competition.
4. During the grand finals of the Voice, Reynan was fortunate to grace a duet with his idol, Gary Valenciano.
5. Reynan has always loved singing. Old videos of him singing a Visayan song and “May Bukas Pa” were dug out in Youtube and made viral by his fans and supporters.
6. Reynan performed for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Welcome Dinner at the Mall of Asia Arena in November 2015. Singing duets with Apl.d.Ap, he amazed the foreign leaders present in the event.
7. Reynan graced a Roadshow exclusive performance, together with his co-finalists in the Voice Kids Season2, on October 20, 2015. He sang the renowned inspirational Filipino song, “Magkaisa”.
His voice and the rich culture from which he hails from are what will make Reynan achieve his dreams. Surely, countless opportunities will open for this little kid in the near future. For now, let’s help him out in his nominations in the upcoming Wish 107.5 Music Awards. He is nominated as Wish Young Artist of the Year and his performance of “Magkaisa” is nominated as Best Wish Cover and Best WISHclusive Performance by a Young Artist. Vote for him here.
