7 Things to Know About Ronnie Liang

Ronnie Liang entered show business in 2006. We might think we are already well-acquainted with this 30-year old singer because of his almost one decade of reign in the industry, but there might be some other things about Ronnie Liang that might take us by surprise. Take a look at this list of 7 things we should know about him.

1. Ronnie was born and raised in Angeles, Pampanga.
Growing up in a low-income family, Ronnie always aspired to be of help to his family when it comes to financial matters.

 
2. Hard living conditions did not stop Ronnie to finish his studies and pursue his dreams. While taking up Bachelor of Science in Education at Holy Angel University in Pampanga, he supported himself by working in a fastfood restaurant and a video rental shop.

 
3. Before getting into music, Ronnie first worked as a part-time ramp model. When Ronnie’s manager discovered he can sing, he urged him to join singing contests.

 
4. Ronnie rose to prominence when he joined the reality-talent search on television, Pinoy Dream Academy, and finished off as the second runner-up. Since this competition, the life of Ronnie and his family has changed.

 
5. The acting business also had a room for Ronnie Liang. He starred in a couple TV series and movies such as “I Love Betty La Fea” and “Mano Po 4: Ako Legal Wife”.

 
6. It was in 2007 when Ronnie released his single “Ngiti”. The song became so much of a hit that up until now, many people still can’t just get enough of it. It has become a standard song to be played in wedding dances, parties, and in casual karaoke sessions.

 
7. Recently, Ronnie released a new album under T-Rex Entertainment Production. This third solo album of his is entitled “Songs of Love”, and includes his versions of popular songs such as “Dance with my Father” and “Unchained Melody”.

 
Perhaps, the 8th thing you should know about Ronnie is that he is up for two awards in the upcoming Wish 107.5 Music Awards. His single “Liwanag” is nominated as Wish Ballad Song of the Year, and himself as Wish Male Artist of the Year. Vote for him here.
