7 Things to Know About Sassa Dagdag

Do you remember the girl who effortlessly sang “Chandelier” during the blind auditions of the Voice Kids season 2? In case you forgot, the name is Sassa Dagdag. This girl wowed everyone with her cool, jazzy voice, and she absolutely deserves to be recognized and known better. Take a look at this list of 7 things about her.

1.Thirteen-year old Sassa hails from Angeles City, Pampanga.

2. She rose to prominence when she joined the season 2 of the Voice Kids Philippines. She finished as the competition’s 3rd runner up.

3. During her audition, she did not only amaze the judges by her rendition of Sia’s “Chandelier”, she also sang a bit of the classic Louis Armstrong song, “La Vie En Rose”. This hit was originally sung and written in French by Edith Piaf.

4. Apart from singing, Sassa also plays the guitar.

5. For the finale of the Voice Kids competition, Sassa sang a duet of the OPM hit “Ikaw” with Mega Star Sharon Cuneta.

6. Prior to joining the competition, Sassa, together with her brother, regularly uploads her videos of song covers on Youtube. Check out their cool videos in the channel, Dagdag Siblings.

7. Throughout the Voice Kids, Sassa earned a number of fans and followers – they call themselves, Sassanatics. Even after the competition, they are dedicated to support Sassa in her future projects in the music industry.

Her cover of Beyonce’s “I Were a Boy” is up for Best WISHclusive Performance by a Young Artist, and herself for Wish Young Artist of the Year. Vote for her here.
