IN PHOTOS: Wish 107.5 Music Awards Nominees Joins PLM’s 50th Anniversary
Wish 107.5 joined the festive celebration of the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila’s (PLM) 50th founding anniversary last December 4.
The station brought some of the finest OPM talents today to the campus to entertain the PLM scholars, providing the perfect finale to what had been a funtastic day, packed with various activities and contests prepared by the PLM supreme council. The performers – Hazel Faith, Jessica Reynoso, Jensen & the Flips, Lunar Lights, The Voysing, and Jason Fernandez – are nominees in the first Wish Music Awards.
One of the newest OPM darlings, Hazel Faith, was the first to perform, rendering a stellar version of her single, “Di Na Kita Mahal”. A lucky PLM student was asked to join her on stage as she delivered an Ariane Grande-like performance.
Another ravishing performance was given by The Voice of the Philippines finalist Jessica Reynoso. She had the crowd dancing on their feet while she performed her popular dance single, “Crazy ‘Bout You.”
After two consecutive energetic performances by Hazel Faith and Jessica, it was time for some soulful, RnB music courtesy of the fast-rising indie band Jensen & the Flips.
Awesome alternative rock music was rendered by Lunar Lights, another indie band who is swiftly gaining recognition for their unique and fresh tunes. The PLM crowd eagerly listened to the band’s original song “If I’m Wrong” and sang along to their cover of a popular Rico Blanco track, “Antukin”.
Wrapping up the wonderful evening was the performance of the up and coming band, the Voysing.
The group was later on joined by former Rivermaya vocalist Jason Fernandez. They sang Eraserheads and Rivermaya classics, which surely tugged at the heartstrings of the PLM students.
ENJOYING THE ESCAPADE. With their claps, smiles, and cheers, the PLM crowd cannot hide their brimming delight as they sing and dance along with the performers. Surely, the night was an escapade for them, a break from load of academic works.
Prior to the concert, these WMA nominees also got onboard the Wish 107.5 bus to sing for a Roadshow episode.
