The Wish 107.5 Music Awards (WMA) is now all-set to take place tonight, January 26, 2016, at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The program, which will start at 7:30 in the evening, will include performances of 17 talented Filipino artists, most of which are nominees in the music awards.
Some of the highlights of tonight’s affair are special numbers from Darren Espanto, Jason Dy, Morissette, Juan Karlos Labajo, Jessica Reynoso, Daryl Ong, Jason Fernandez, Marlo Mortel, Paolo Onesa, Sassa Dagdag, Maki Ricafort, Brad Go, Beverly Caimen and The Voysing.
Other guest artists who are set to perform in the Big Dome include Jek Manuel, Gerald Santos, Leah Patricio, and Nyoy Volante.
The most anticipated part of the program is the unveiling of the winners of the first Wish 107.5 Music Awards. The online voting for the awards, which ended at 12 noon today, will make up half of the total votes of the winners.
The other half of the votes will come from a panel of judges composed of well-known personalities from the Philippine music, arts, entertainment, and broadcast industry.
They are Alfredo Henares, chairman of Progressive Broadcasting Corportation; Alvin De Vera, president of the Philippine Association of the Record Industry; Dr. Raul Saunico, dean of the University of Santo Tomas Conservatory of Music; Cory Quirino, national director of Miss World Philippines; Mitch Valdes, chairman of the board of Organisasyon ng Pilipinong Mang-Aawit; Sylvia Lichauco-De Leon, president of the Philippine Ballet Theatre; Isah Red, an entertainment editor; Andre Allen Alvarez, MYX channel head; and John Lesaca, a renowned violinist.
Apart from the awarding, the granting of the wishes of the winners’ chosen beneficiaries will also be staged during the program.
The Wish 107.5 Music Awards will be hosted by Robi Domingo and Gretchen Ho.
