Sassa Dagdag sings for Pampangueños during WMA Tour in San Fernando

The Sassa Dagdag that The Voice Kids (TVK) audience first got acquainted to back in June 2015 is now a blossoming songstress, a diva-in-the-making whose powerful voice has become even more enthralling since she first belted out “Chandelier” as her audition piece in the top-rating television show.

This is what the 15-year-old TVK fourth placer, hailing from Angeles City, Pampanga, proved when she returned to the Roadshow as part of the ongoing 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards (WMA) Mega Manila Tour last December 21 .

Bringing along her talent and charm to Robinsons Starmills in San Fernando, she delivering before her fellow Pampangueños her covers of “ Adele’s All I Ask” and Edith Piaf’s “La Vie En Rose.”

Dagdag is nominated in two categories for the much anticipated sophomore year of WMA — Wish Young Artist of the Year and Best WISHclusive Performance by a Young Artist (for her cover of Beyonce’s “Halo”.)

“I feel great. I feel very overwhelmed and blessed to be included in the list of nominees,” she enthused.

Also sharing their music on board the Wish 107.5 Bus during the tour were The Voice alum Jem Cubil and Tawag ng Tanghalan contender Froilan Canlas. During their solo performances, Cubil crooned to SUD’s “Sila,” while Canlas serenaded listeners with the OPM classic, Dahil Sa’yo.” They also stunned Wishers with their on-the-spot collab, mashing up “Say You Won’t Let Go” and “The Man Who Can’t Be Moved.”

Apart from their stints on the Wish 107.5 Bus, the three also surprised the mall-goers casting their votes at the 2nd WMA Activity Area with their respective impromptu performances.

The 2nd Wish 107.5 Music Awards is happening on January 16, 2017 at the SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
